History and Navigation
This site first appeared in 2004 looking like this: wesselphoto.com. There remain original pages from early on with low resolution scans made on my first scanner. In 2025, I updated the page with better navigation tools. Nonetheless, there are many pages linked here that have been created in between 2004 and the present and those pages may not have links to return to the site. You may have to hit the back button or reload to return to the main page. Sorry about that. 😉
About Keith Robert Wessel
Keith Wessel is a photographer, and among other things in no particular order, a lawyer, a woodworker, a structural wiring engineer and a computer geek. He began taking pictures in the early 1960s and established his first darkroom during that time while living in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

After the McGovern campaign Keith worked for the Morris Udall and Gary Hart presidential campaigns and numerous other political campaigns.
In 1977 Keith moved to Madison, WI. Immediately after arriving in Madison, he joined the staff of the Madcity Music Sheet taking photographs of local and national musicians. He has been taking photographs of musicians ever since.
